The iaido seminar held in Budapest under the guidance of Claudio Zanoni sensei nanadan kyoshi, was an exceptional experience for all participants. Members of our dojo regularly attend this event, as Claudio sensei is among the most experienced and respected instructors in Europe. His extensive expertise is also supported by his successful competitive career, having become an 11-time European champion, he remains one of the most accomplished competitors on our continent.
The seminar focused more on the transmission of knowledge than on physically demanding training. Emphasis was placed on detail, precision, and timing. During the practice, sensei shared a wealth of valuable insights that went beyond technique, also addressing proper mental approach and the perception of movement.
Participants had a unique opportunity to work on the subtle nuances of individual kata, discover new connections, and deepen their understanding of this art. The atmosphere of the seminar was focused yet friendly and motivating, encouraging openness to learning and the sharing of experience.
Members of our dojo returned home not only with a wealth of new knowledge and inspiration, but also with renewed energy for further training. Such gatherings are an essential part of the iaido journey, they remind us that it is not only about mastering technique, but also about continuous personal growth, discipline, and the pursuit of harmony in both movement and thought.
The seminar in Budapest once again confirmed that guidance from an experienced teacher and the shared path of practice are invaluable for the development of anyone dedicated to iaido.
