Kensei Iaido Taikai

Kensei Iaido Taikai

On a warm weekend in June, the annual Kensei Iaido Taikai 2025 took place in Prague, featuring both a high-level seminar and a competition. The event was led by three distinguished instructors, all 7th dan holders, representing Greece, Switzerland, and Austria. Our dojo participated with a strong group of seven members, our largest delegation to date at this event. The seminar began on Friday evening with an open two-hour keiko. Although attendance was modest, this turned out to be a great advantage, as participants enjoyed plenty of personal attention... Read More »Kensei Iaido Taikai

Tamiya ryu Seminar in Budapest

Amid the heat of a June weekend, the quiet dialogue of blades and focused minds once again echoed along the banks of the Danube. For two days, Budapest became the meeting point for three dojos, from Košice, Serbia, and the local Hungarian host, united by a shared passion for the way of the sword. Under the guidance of our sensei Marián, we delved deep into the traditional koryu kata of the Tamiya ryu school. This seminar built upon our March training, which has become a solid pillar in our ongoing technical and mental development... Read More »Tamiya ryu Seminar in Budapest

Jodo Seminar Bari

Jodo Seminar Under the Sun in Beautiful Bari

At the end of May, our team traveled once again to the charming and sunny Italian city of Bari for the annual jodo seminar. For Marián and Adriana, this marked their third year attending, and this time they were joined by Pavel from Nozomi dojo, who completed our Slovak group. Bari greeted us with its quintessential southern Italian vibe — the deep blue sea, narrow cobblestone streets of the old town, the fresh aroma of basil and ripe tomatoes ... Read More »Jodo Seminar Under the Sun in Beautiful Bari

This year’s seminar featured an exceptionally strong lineup, with the organizers inviting three holders of the 7th dan, which created excellent conditions for learning and exchanging experiences. Our dojo’s delegation consisted of three members: Adriana, Marián, and Matej. The journey went surprisingly smoothly, as we spent only 21 minutes at the Hungary-Serbia border, a significant improvement compared to last year ... Read More »Iaido Seminar and Competition in Belgrade

A New Space in the Heart of Kosice Bears the Signature of Our Talented Member

As part of the annual Kosice City Day celebrations, which traditionally take place at the turn of April and May, we had the opportunity to attend a very special event – the grand opening of the new MarathonPoint space, located right on Main Street. The project was created in collaboration between the City of Kosice and the Marathon Club, but for us it holds a special meaning for another reason. The design and realization of the space was led by our very own member Vincent ... Read More »A New Space in the Heart of Kosice Bears the Signature of Our Talented Member
