On the last weekend of April, our dojo in Košice hosted a jodo seminar led by Marián and Adriana. The event focused primarily on advanced kata and refining technical precision, key elements in progressing through the art of jodo.
The seminar was both intensive and rewarding. Participants dedicated themselves to mastering fine details such as precise movement, timing, and proper posture. These fundamentals are crucial for executing advanced kata correctly. Everyone received personalized feedback and had the opportunity to elevate their skill level.
A significant part of the seminar included grading examinations for 1st and 2nd kyu. Our members demonstrated tandoku dosa, sotai dosa, and the appropriate kata with outstanding performance. We are proud to announce that Vincent and Marek were awarded 2.kyu and Matúš successfully achieved 1.kyu.
Following the exams, we shifted our focus to koryu practice, delving into subtle but essential details that often get overlooked during regular training. This session not only sharpened our technical abilities but also reinforced the philosophical foundations that form the heart of jodo practice.
Thank you to all participants for their commitment and effort. The seminar was a valuable opportunity for technical improvement and deeper understanding. We believe that the experience gained will continue to support our growth and development in jodo. We look forward to future events that will help us advance even further on this path.
