Zakončiť horúce leto seminárom je vždy dobrý nápad. Džódó seminár s René senseiom z Holandska je vždy zárukou získavania nových poznatkov, intenzívneho tréningu ale aj zábavy. Po pätnástykrát sa v Bulharskom prímorskom meste Varna stretli fanúšikovia japonských bojových umení iaidó a džódó. Viacerí chodia pravidelne, niektorí občasne a niektorí prišli prvýkrát. 21. majstrovstvá Európy 2023 sa tento rok uskutočnili až v októbri nám známom Magglingene, ktoré sa nachádza vo Švajčiarsku. Po dvoch naozaj vydarených seminároch s Claudio Zanonim senseiom v roku 2022 v Budapešti, sme sa koncom apríla tohto roku rozhodli opäť zavítať do hlavného mesta Maďarska. Od minulého roku sa Patrik sensei rozhodol pravidelne usporadúvať víkendové cvičenia pre svojich žiakov a dódžó lídrov vo svojom dódžó . Vo februári nám to s Adrianou vyšlo a tak sme si spravili víkendový výlet do Zwevegemu v Belgicku. Na cvičení sa zišli jeho žiaci z viacerých krajín. Po 3 rokoch sa konečne v posledný októbrový víkend uskutočnil Shinto Muso Ryu seminár v džódó pod vedením učiteľov z Veľkej Británie Jock Hopson, 7.dan kyoshi a Andy Watson, 7.dan kyoshi. Ako sa očakávalo, sobotňajší tréning pozostával z cvičenia Omote a Tanjo, ktorému sa veľká väčšina zúčastnených intenzívne venovala predchádzajúce roky. Po troch rokoch sa dočkali aj džodisti! V anglickom mestečku Stevenage sa uskutočnil 19. ročník Majstrovstiev Európy v džódó. Z nášho oddielu sa predstavili 3 reprezentanti. Kristína zažila svoju prvú súťažnú premiéru na ME a získala od japonských učiteľov ocenenie „Najperspektívnejší účastník Majstrovstiev Európy“, pričom bola najmladšou súťažiacou. Prvý septembrový víkend sa po dvoch rokoch opäť uskutočnili majstrovstvá Európy v Iaidó. Organizáciu prevzala talianska kendó federácia, ktorá sa rozhodla podujatie usporiadať v Modene. Toto mesto je známe hlavne výrobou automobilov značky Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani a Maserati, takže sme si nenechali ujsť ani návštevu múzea zameraného na život a dielo Enza Ferrariho. Tretí augustový týždeň poľské dojo Butokukan zorganizovalo v mestečku Raciborz už tradičné letné gasshuku. Počas 6 dní sa prešli všetky ZNKR kata v džódó aj iaidó pod vedením  učiteľa Andy Watson, 7.dan Kyoshi.

Na prelome marca a apríla sa po 3 rokoch uskutočnil vo švajčiarskom mestečku plné športových hál – Magglingene medzinárodný Iaidó a Džódó seminár. Ako zvyčajne organizácia zabezpečená švajčiarskou kendó a iaidó federáciou bola bezchybná! V nedeľu popoludní sa uskutočnili skúšky, na ktorých náš dobrý kamarát Pavel Tomeš z Nozomi Dojo Hradec Králové úspešne získal 5.dan v iaidó. Srdečne mu blahoželáme. Tak, ako pred rokom, začiatkom leta 2020, aj tento rok, pre niekoho to bol rok bez cvičenia, pre niekoho len ďalšie „ladenie techniky“, členovia Hikari Dojo Košice v takmer plnej zostave, štartovali Reštart seminár v Prahe. Počas pandémie veľa ľudí rozmýšľalo, ako stráviť čas, ktorý nemôžu venovať cvičeniu v telocvični. Jedným z nich je aj Patrick Suen z kanadského Toronta, ktorý cvičí iaidó. Postupne vyhľadáva zaujímavých ľudí, ktorí sa zaoberajú Iaidó, Džódó, Kendó, Kyudó a Naginata a robí s nimi podcasty. Pri príležitosti pracovnej cesty do Košíc minister školstva, vedy, výskumu a športu Branislav Gröhling navštívil aj Gymnázium Park mládeže. V čase jeho obhliadky priestorov školy akurát prebiehal náš tréning iaidó, ktorý ho už pri vstupe do telocvične prekvapil a zaujal. Tento bod programu bol ako pre neho aj pre nás neočakávaný.
